Hand Grinder

Consistency matters more than horsepower when it comes to grind quality, and a good hand grinder with sharp conical burrs will out-grind a cheap electric blade grinder every time. Ours uses a stainless-steel burr set with 40 click-stop settings, from fine enough for espresso to coarse enough for a French press or cold brew.

It’s compact enough to travel with, doesn’t need power, and takes about 45 seconds to grind a single cup’s worth of beans. If you’re brewing pour-over at home, this is the single upgrade that will change your cup the most - more than any brewer or bean.
